Tessa’s interest in fashion began during her time growing up in Japan where she developed a keen eye for trend prediction, an understanding of the aesthetics of layering and an appreciation for the importance of stepping out in a well thought out, but seemingly effortless “look”.
Tessa began her studies in fashion and textile design at QUT then later progressed into window and retail merchandising before going on to work for a popular QLD street wear label. In February 2008 Tessa moved to Melbourne and since, has been involved with everything from fashion writing to working as head stylist on various campaigns, catalogues and editorial fashion publications both here and overseas. Tessa’s latest roles include runway show co-ordination for the World Sailing Cup parades and most recently, working as head stylist for Catwalk Theatre, which headlined the culture program for L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
